Child Safety

Our Club is a Child Safe Organisation.

We commit to providing a safe environment for children in netball and we follow the principles and benchmarks Netball Victoria has in place.

Our Association agrees to comply with the Child Safety Standards through the Child Safety in Netball Code of Conduct and the Child Safety in Netball Policy.

Upon registering, all guardians, players and officials must familiarise themselves with, and agree to abide by, the appropriate code of conduct as issued by Netball Victoria. Please click here for your copy.

Hampton Hammers Netball Club follows all requirements of the child safety standards set by Netball Victoria and BDNA. The club periodically reviews these requirements as required by BDNA.

Hampton Hammers Netball Club Child Safe Policy and Hampton Hammers Netball Club Incident Reporting Procedure have been developed in accordance with these standards.

If at any time a player feels unsafe, they are to be encouraged to contact a trusted adult, the team manager, a coach or a committee member via our official email address. If you need to officially and confidentially report a child safety incident, please contact the club’s child safety officer Kirsten Owen or you can put in an official child safety report with BDNA, by clicking here.

If you are a child, or young adult needing to speak to someone outside of the club, please click here for free, confidential, online and phone counselling through Kids Helpline.
